Astro Empires
I get tried of searching through several pages of info, so I have copied a lot of the info from those pages here. Also ensures their safe keeping from fading in to the voids of cyberspace. (I’ll link the original sites here for credit)

How is pillage calculated?
At a players base: (number of hours since last pillage; max 100)% * (Base Economy/Total Bases Economy) * Base Owner Credits
At a NPC base: Pillage = (number of hours since last pillage – max 100)% * Base Economy * 25
Additional Pillage bonus: ½ * (base actual income-new income) * (base actual income-new income)/2 * 24
====================
Generally, moons are better than planets, simply because high end defences are cheaper. Moons aren’t so good for free accounts though, because of the cap on terraform and muitl level platforms.
====================
Definitions:
Production = Building ships. Astros with higher metal scores are better at this.
Research = Having lots of research labs to enable rapid technological advancement. Astros with higher area scores are better at this.
Economy = Mining crystal. Astros with higher crystal scores are better at this.
Jumpgate = Building a lot of jumpgates on an astro to enable rapid transportation. Astros with higher gas scores are better at this. High gas is most useful if you can find a Gas 4 + Solar 4 or Gas 3 + Solar 3 astro.
Gas 4 + Solar 4 is better for upgraded accounts, and Gas 5 is better for free accounts. Although Gas 4 + Solar 4 is much cheaper, it does use slightly more area.
Bank = An astro that can be used to build useless projects to store credits. Astros with lower metal scores are better for this, because production takes longer.

Astro Types:
Rocky - Good for production. Good fertility. These things are great at churning out ships and buildings very quickly. Their good fertility means that fewer urban structures need to be built, saving money and freeing space for more refineries. Orbit Irrelevant
Gaia - Can do everything. Excellent area and fertility. It’s high area means that terraforming is cheaper, and gives it plenty of room for adaptability. Its excellent fertility means that fewer need to be built, saving money and freeing space for other structures. Best in orbits 1 and 2, other orbits acceptable.
Arid / Tundra - Can do everything. Huge area and good fertility. It’s high area means that terraforming is cheaper, and gives it plenty of room for adaptability. Their good fertility means that fewer urban structures need to be built, saving money and freeing space for more refineries. Superb choices as moons, their huge area means that their moon form has more area than some planets. Best in orbits 1 and 2, other orbits acceptable.
Crystalline - Good boost to economy. Not much use for anything else. If you see one free, go out of your way to grab it - they can make a significant contribution to your economy. Their low fertility is problematic, best found in orbits 2 and 3 to give them 5 fertility, although the economy boost generated by them more than outsets their more costly urban structures. Best in orbits 2 and 3, other orbits acceptable.
Craters / Metallic - Good for production. Awful fertility is a problem: only any use in orbits 2 and 3 to give them 5 fertility. Like Rockies, these are superb at building things rapidly. The crystal on these planets is a red herring and not worth pursuing, the space is better used on other economic structures that perform other functions (like shipyards and refineries). Best in orbits 2 and 3, not great outside this.
Earthly - Can do everything. Like Gaias only with 5 less area. A good choice if nothing better is around. Excellent fertility means cheaper urban structures. Best in orbits 1 and 2, others acceptable.
Magma / Volcanic - Excellent for jumpgates. Reasonable fertility means that they’re excellent to have in orbit 1. Not a lot of use outside orbit 1. Small area limits these to upgraded accounts only. Only useful in Orbit 1, ignore these if in any other orbit.
Asteroid - Can be used for economy or production. Poor fertility an issue: best found in orbit 2 and 5 to give them 5 fertility. Small size gives them really cheap defences. Excellent as economic boosters or ship factories. Poor area really limits these to upgraded accounts only. Best in orbits 2 and 3, not great outside this.
Oceanic - Good for research and as a bank. Useless for production. Excellent fertility means that urban structures will be cheap. Small area limits these to upgraded accounts only. Best in orbits 1, 2 and 3, others acceptable.
Glacial - Good for research and as a bank. Useless for production. Massive area and good fertility lend them better to free accounts than Oceanic astros. Good fertility means urban structures will be reasonably cheap. Best in orbits 2 and 3, others acceptable.
Radioactive - Good for research or jumpgates. Low fertility a problem. Only any use in Orbit 2, which gives it fertility 5. Orbit 2 gives them solar 3 and gas 3, giving cheaper power plants. It’s high area gives it a nice adaptability. Best in orbits 2, ignore these if located in any other orbit.
Toxic - Good for jumpgates. Poor fertility and average stats elsewhere mean it’s not much use for anything else. Only really any use in orbit 1, except they suffer from fertility 4. To be honest there are better choices. Orbit doesn’t matter too much with these.

Job Roles
If you’re looking for an astro type to do a specific job, this is where it will be listed.
Throughout this section, as a preference; add ‘planet’ to the end of each type if you’re a free account; and ‘moon’ to the end if you’re upgraded. e.g., When I say Rocky, if you’re a free account that means a Rocky Planet.
Remember, if you are a free account, ignore any astros with less than 83 area.
